Excellent book on the Porsche 917, covering many little details I never knew about this legendary car. However I do wish there were more details of the 917/30 used in the Can-Am series driven by Mark Donahue. Still, it is an excellent book, and highly recommended to 917 fans.
What I liked about this product was the subject matter. I was disappointed that there was so little about the workings of the engine & transmission. I was expecting a "how to" just like a Haynes Manuals for any other vehicle. I wanted to see how the engine came apart & went back together. The book was inexpensive & did have limited information about the 917.
If you are a 917 fan, this book is for you. Lots of details on the car, history of changes, and even includes starting instructions if you are going for a ride. . . .
Fabulous book with great detail featured all throughout the book. It is just right for a 917 enthusiast or a fan of vintage racing. A great conversation piece!
